Mattie and Chase met while Mattie was a flight attendant. Chase is a airplane pilot. When this kind of love story decides to get married, you know that airplane details will be involved.
For their wedding venue, they chose Fox Canyon Vineyards . If you haven’t seen Fox Canyon Vineyards yet, you should add it to your list of venues to consider. Located in Marsing, Idaho, this venue offers great views over the canyon, many places for pictures, including the vineyard and the beautiful ivy wall, and it has friendly and easy to work with owners and staff.
The airplane details Mattie and Chase added to their wedding ranged from extremely adorable to thoughtful. Chase’s wedding ring was made from a part of an airplane engine, and the cutest airplane bearer threw mini paper airplanes while walking down the aisle.
Mattie wanted to surprise Chase with the wedding cake design, which of course, had airplanes. I was very honored to help Mattie with the surprise, including at the cake tasting, when Chase had an idea of adding an airplane as a cake topper. Knowing that airplanes would be on the cake, I diverged the conversation and kept the surprise. Sadie, their photographer, captured the moment very nicely.
For cake flavors, they chose two of Dulcerella’s signature combinations: “One Night in Idaho” and “From Chicago, with love”.
