Wedding Cake Inspiration: Cake toppers ideas

One of the smallest details to be chosen at a wedding, the cake topper reflects the couple’s personalities. It also can “make or break” a cake design, which sometimes can look unfinished before the cake topper is added.

Here are some cake toppers on cakes we made recently, and while we can take credit for the cakes, the credit topper goes completely to our brides.

Modern style

For the modern bride, the latest trend is the cake topper in calligraphy writing. It varies from “Love”, innitials of the bride and groom to the Mr&Mrs (insert last name).

Classic bride and groom figurines

Jeanette and Alexander chose a funny bride and groom figurine to go along Mr&Mrs gold topper.

Family heirloom

Julie and Grant chose for their classic cake design a family heirloom: the cake topper that was on the wedding of Grant’s grandparents and parents. What a beautiful tradition!

Kathleen and Sean had a vintage theme wedding, and Kathleen’s grandmother’s cake topper was a beautiful addition to this natural inspired cake.

Including favorite pets

Beise and Nick chose a cute representation of the two of them along with their cat and two dogs.

Cutest animal figurines

Meg and Sam chose a dog “bride” and a dog “groom”, and it was the cutest thing ever!

The cutest bunny and bear made by the bride herself adorned this beautiful cake for Anne and Luke. And we are swooning!
