Beise and Nick – Tradition meets modern at the Boise Train Depot

My first contact with Nick and Beise was back in February 2021, when, on a snowy day, Nick picked up a special cake for Beise’s birthday. I was very happy and excited when, later in spring, they chose me to make their wedding cake. Not only were they one of my favorite couples of 2021, but their photographer was my friend Maija, of Maija Karin Photography, one of the best photographers in the Boise area. Double points.

Their wedding was a mix of tradition, fun and modern. Beise’s European background, reflected in her necklace and other details like the evil eye charm, was combined with a fun bounce house and a floating tier cake.

The wedding cake: the darker colors on the bottom tier faded out on the top tiers. The beautiful flowers accentuated the design and the floating top tier, and a fun topper with figurines representing the 2 of them and their pets. For flavor, they chose Dulcerella’s signature combination of chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream and fresh raspberries. The dessert table was completed by macarons in 3 flavors: strawberry, blueberry and lemon.
